Volunteer Oppurtunities

Warrior Run Woman's Club is part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs which is one of the largest and oldest woman's volunteer service organizations from business owners and corporate executives to  homemakers and retirees, we are united by the decision to improve our community through volunteer services. 

 We are encouraged and inspired to be our best in every aspect of our lives: self - family - community - work! 

Club Committees

Arts & Culture: organizes contests in various  Arts, Craft, Photography and Literature for club members and students.

Education & Libraries: Supports the RIF program within the district elementary school, Head Start, and preschool, supports the  Montgomery House  Library, and recognizes teachers and paraeducators.

Civic Engagement/Home Life Outreach: Promotes wellness among members and the community including and volunteering at Warrior Run Manor hosting bingo once a month, and National Night Out. Our club belongs to the Watsontown Area Business Association (WABA) and participates in events hosted by WABA.

Environment: the Adopt-A-Highway program, litter pick up three times a year on the roadway between McEwenville and Watsontown Railroad Tracks; Route 44. 

Programs/President’s Project: organizes monthly programs for general meetings and updates members on the president’s project.

Membership: Promotes membership growth, installs new members, and organizes the secret sister program.

Communication/Public Relations: Provides information of the club’s programs to the community through social media.

Bike Hike:  Organizes a bike hike fund raiser to support the RIF program and education/scholarships/programs.

Fund Raising:  Organizes various fund raisers throughout the year, including basket raffles, food stands, lottery tickets, and Avon.

International Affairs-  monitors the collection  of items to  benefit the needy children worldwide.

Social: Organizes events to inspire and enhance member’s friendships and strengthen community ties by planning dinner meetings, game nights, and other events. 

Neighbors Helping Neighbors: this project was started more than thirty years ago by our club when the need arose within the community.  We work with local churches to help families in need.

Historians:  Collects information on the events the club's invovlement, news articles, and photos to put into a scrapbook.
